The "Pending Karma" trap is the core of their financial extortion model. Clients are told that their current life problems are due to terrible sins committed in past lives.
Because a past life cannot be proven, the victim is entirely at the mercy of the astrologer. They are pressured into buying expensive courses (upwards of Rs 25,000) and rituals to "clear" this karma. It is a psychological trap designed to drain bank accounts.
